Three Tenets of Podcasts

Thursday, January 12th, 2012

No matter what you’re online doing, be it driving visitors to WWW.HOMESECURITYSYSTEMS.COM or teaching an audience how to chop an onion, you’ve got to have a point of view. Podcasts are a great way to reach out but don’t forge these three core tenets.

Offer Useful Information: Don’t just regurgitate what everyone already knowsbe a teacher. Tell your audience things you’ve learned solely from experience and offer concrete examples, if possible. There’s no harm in being too detailed and that’s what will make you seem authoritative.
Use Visual Aids: If you can, use props like posters, photos or even live-action items to strengthen your presentation. After all, one of the best things about podcasts is that they’re a visual medium so you don’t have to rely on your power of persuasion to get through to an audience.
